Music is given by S.Thaman. Ivan Kaavalkaaran is an action drama cop story.
Cinematography is done by Chota K. Naidu. Sreenivas Mamilla gave the screenplay.
The movie has shades of Singam, Thuppakki, Theri and some other cop movies.
The movie is produced by Naveen sontineni under Vamsadhara Creations. Chota K. Prasad edited the movie. Bollywood fame Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mehren Pirzada, Kalyani Natarajan and Harshavardan Rane played important roles.
The movie comes under the cop and criminal genre which has lots of commercial elements including love and sentiments along with some outstanding stunts.
The movie generally resembles Githa like what happens if a woman is forced to marry and how a police officer saves his citizen/ love.
The movie is a simple going cop story. Stunts are jaw-dropping. There are some general police missions. Mother sentiment is well planted.
The movie has fewer comedy scenes. The villain’s swag is a tough competition for the hero. The movie is set in the high backdrop. You will feel the touch of foreign streets and highly developed cities in some scenes, which are a bit impossible in Chennai.
Dialogues are good. When compared to other dubbed films from Tollywood Ivan Kaavalkaaran is not an expected film from Telugu movie industry.
Ivan Kaavalkaaran movie is a one-time watchable movie.
Bellamkonda Srinivas impressed with stunts and dance, his acting was ok. He fits the role of Inspector Vijay. He is known for Alludu Seenu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Sakshyam movies in Tollywood.
Neil Nitin Mukesh rocked as Vikramaditya. His body language and acting were so good to fit as a negative role. He acted in a very few south Indian movies.
Kajal Aggarwal looks beautiful in the movie. This is another commercial movie for her. She played the role of Samyuktha which is one of the important roles. But her screen appearance is less.
Mehren played the role of Lavanya. She looks adorable in the movie. She has less screen time as her character dies in the movie.
Direction & Another Technical Team:
Screenplay and direction were done by Sreenivas Mamilla. The direction went smoothly, without any distraction in viewing. But, the screenplay was somewhat lagging with lack of good scenes.
General scenes were inserted in the movie like, hero and heroine meet, fighting with the villain and few sentiment scenes.
Editing and cinematography are also good. Chota K Naidu and Chota K prasad did well in Cinematography and editing. Thaman delivered music.
The songs are peppy but only a few of them were dubbed into Tamil.
Overall Review and Rating:
Ivan kaavalkaaran, a regular cop and cat film. It resembles many Tamil movies like Singam, There etc. Many scenes will look like they were seen in There.
The story of Ivan kaavalkaarn is weak. The movie commercially disappointed the producers at the box office. The storyline was good but the taking of the movie is not well. Some scenes are logic-less.
The movie unit could have added some twists and smooth takeover with some logical events.
Anyway, you can watch the movie once for the screenplay, stunts and acting. Ivan Kaavalkaaran can get 2 out of 5 stars.
