Thalapathy Vijay’s Master got released on 13 January 2021 across the world. The whole country evidenced massive openings for Master which is 25+ crores in Tamil Nadu alone during corona pandemic with 50% occupancy.
While Bollywood biggies are thinking whether to release the movie or wait. This big movie made new records.
The movie got break-even gross in Telugu states i.e. Andhrapradesh and Telangana in just 2 days, which is iconic and trade analysts declared that movie earned 100 crores on its the third day of release.
A trade analyst took Twitter and announced that Master got 100 crores collections while 50 crores are from Tamil Nadu alone. The trade analyst wrote that

In two Telugu states, it performed phenomenally and earned₹13.15 crores where ₹7.68 crores were gross. It needs only ₹0.32 lakhs to get the clean chit for a decent hit.
Trade analysts say that it is not so difficult that the movie gets high collections in Telugu too. Master will get hit chit within this weekend. Karnataka is doing decently it earned an amount of ₹8.12 crores in 2 days.
Maybe this weekend holidays would take the audience to theatres.
And the main one is here!! Tamilnadu, Master earned 50+ crores in Tamilnadu alone in 3 days which is quite massive that no other movie would do.
According to trade analysts Master earned an amount of ₹100+ crores and need ₹104 crores to cross the breakeven in Tamilnadu and is expected to cross by this weekend.
Master is not getting much attention from North audience. It merely earned 2-3 crores. But there is even official confirmation from big makers that master is gonna remake in Hindi. So now Master is not considered in Hindi.
The movie is doing well in other countries too. The movie earned decent collections in Australia, NewZealand, USA and other countries.
The huge fanbase for movies are heavenly more in the South industry and importantly in Tamilnadu.
There are fans clubs, groups and associations which makes the Kollywood industry more strong and reliable.
Comparing with North, no North superstar would have a fanbase as a south superstar has. Master is a super star’s movie.
Thalapathy Vijay is the main lead of the movie. He has a strong fan base from children to old people in almost every home of Tamil Nadu. He already had eight ₹100 crores earned movies and this is ninth one.
This makes Thalapathy Vijay cross Rajinikanth and become only south Indian actor to have back to back 100 crores club movies and more number of 100 crore club movies.

The first point is the movie is released in 1000+ theatres in Tamilnadu and 700+ theatres in Telugu states.
In Tamil Nadu, Eeswaran was thought to give competition to Master but it doesn’t affect much. In Telugu states, the movie is having a good run despite having a competition with Krack, Red and Alludu Adhurs because it is released in 700+ theatres.
Despite 50% occupancy and corona pandemic, Master is bashing all the records of Tamil Industry.
People are waiting for a theatre release from a long while, and Master made a royal entry. There is more number of screens allowed to Master. So it is more obvious that the Master will collect a wholesome of ₹100 crores in next one week.
